Boulder City located in Clark County, Nevada. It is approximately 26 miles southeast of Las Vegas. Boulder City was originally built to house workers contracted to build the Hoover Dam from 1931 to 1947. Boulder City was not officially released by the federal government until 1959 when the town was incorporated.
Much of the original history is still visible through it’s architecture, historic monuments, and downtown district shops. Many people pass through Boulder City to visit the Hoover Dam, but take the time to stop you’ll find an enchanting small town with golf courses, an airport with Grand Canyon tours and sky diving, zip lines through the canyons, kayaking, boating and so much more.
Fun Fact: Boulder City is only one of two cities in Nevada that prohibits gambling.
